Houjicha is a roasted Japanese Green Tea. The roasting is done in place of steaming to prevent oxidation. This gives the tea a golden color like that of fall leaves. The tea has little to no bitterness.

Brewing Instruction:

- Amount: 1 1/2 tablespoons (7-8g)

- Water Temperature: 175-185°F

- Infuse time: 1-2 minutes.

- Amount of water: 200 mL (7 fl oz)

- Can brew 2-3 times.

Houjicha has a sweet, toasty, nutty, umami and stone fruit taste. The tea has little to no bitterness. Once infused, the tea has a bright golden color. Can be enjoyed hot or cold.
