“White Fairy” (White Tea)

“White Fairy” is the name translated from the given name in Vietnamese (Bach Tien). This precious and special tea cultivar is from the Northern mountains of Vietnam where the Hill Tribes of Vietnam resided with elevations 1200 meters.

White tea is the least processed out of all tea types. Tea leaves are partially dried in the sun and brought into the factory for further drying to reduce the moisture content to <6%. The particular drying process for this tea is done at cool conditions which takes longer but ensure a fragrant and profound tea that evolves even better with time.

The saying one year tea, three years medicine, and 7 years treasure applies to this white tea as well. The longer it is aged, the more precious it becomes.

Aroma: Sweet, stone fruit, white floral, sugarcane and fresh.

Taste: Sweet, peach-like, refreshing and long lasting mouthfeel throughout the day.

Steeping instructions:

Tea amount: 3g or 1 teaspoon of tea

Water amount: 175g water

Water temperature: 205-212°F (95-100°C)

Steep time: at least 7 minutes. Does not become bitter or astringent with longer steeping time. Can steep multiple times.
